Electrical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical design services to our clients.
- You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Bills of Materials for proposals and jobs, as well as carrying out drafting activities such as lighting, cable sizing, and cable tray loading.
- Another important aspect of this role is the preparation and review of substation equipment layouts and overall plant cable routing layouts, in consultation with senior engineers.
- You will also collect input from various stakeholders and prepare 'TDRs' and update drawings accordingly.
- Your expertise will be required to envision proper cable trench/cable routing layout considering necessary clearances with other discipline routings.
- You will select cable types, sizes, glands, MCTs, lighting fixtures, and accessories for safe and hazardous zones, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Cable trench/tray loading details must be designed considering future expansion and permissible tolerances specified in project/job/client specifications.
- You will develop installation standard drawings in line with project requirements, including cable schedules, cable drum schedules, and cable cutting schedules.
- As part of your responsibilities, you will produce IDC documents, resolve conflicts/decisions with other discipline routings, and ensure conformity of designs, layouts according to client/project company specifications and design basis.
- Maintaining documentation as per ISO standards, updating 'Documentum', IDC records, vendor documents related to design/drafting, check prints, and master drawing files are essential tasks in this role.
- You will also prepare drawings and design calculations such as cable sizing, trench/tray sizing, lighting illumination levels, and Bill of Materials based on information received from engineers, available client data, and project specifications.
