Data Engineering Expert

As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale lakehouse architectures to unify data lakes and warehouses. Your primary focus will be on developing and optimizing streaming pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar, and Flink to process structured/unstructured data with low latency.

You will leverage Java to build scalable, high-throughput data applications and services that enable sub-second operation and analytics on real-time data. You will work with modern data warehouses and query engines like Trino and Spark to ensure seamless data integration across systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java for data-intensive applications, hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures, stream processing, and event streaming. Strong SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases are also essential. A proven track record in optimizing query engines and data pipelines is necessary to drive business growth.

  • Scalable Systems Architect:
    • Design and implement large-scale lakehouse architectures to unify data lakes and warehouses.
  • Real-Time Data Processing:
    • Develop and optimize streaming pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar, and Flink to process structured/unstructured data with low latency.
  • High-Performance Applications:
    • Leverage Java to build scalable, high-throughput data applications and services.
  • Modern Data Infrastructure:
    • Work with modern data warehouses and query engines (Trino, Spark) for sub-second operation and analytics on real-time data.
  • Database Management:
    • Manage diverse data workloads across RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) systems.
  • Data Governance:
    • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across systems.
  • Cost Optimization:
    • Manage production infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Innovation:
    • Stay ahead of trends in the data ecosystem to drive technical excellence.
  • API Development (Optional):
    • Build and maintain Web APIs (REST/GraphQL) to expose data services internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of data engineering experience with large-scale systems.
  • Expert proficiency in Java for data-intensive applications.
  • Hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures, stream processing, and event streaming.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases.
  • Proven track record in optimizing query engines and data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
