Procurement Manager Job Description

A Day in the Life of a Procurement Manager

  • Operations and Performance Management:

As a Procurement Manager, you will oversee the procurement process for our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day operations of the procurement team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Support Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Service Performance Governance Forums:

You will provide support to the monthly, quarterly, and annual service performance governance forums, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate.

  • Review and Validate Calculations of Quality and Voice of Customer Aspects of Monthly Service Level Reporting:

You will review and validate calculations of quality and voice of customer aspects of monthly service level reporting, ensuring that all data is accurate and consistent.

  • Oversee the Service Provider's Progress on Corrective Action and Service Improvement Plans:

You will oversee the service provider's progress on corrective action and service improvement plans, ensuring that all actions are taken and implemented.

Governance and Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate and Provide Support to Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Operations Meetings:

You will coordinate and provide support to weekly, monthly, and quarterly operations meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.

  • Negotiate and Administer Program and Project Calendars:

You will negotiate and administer program and project calendars, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and engaged.

Technology, Tools, and Project Administration

  • Work with Vendor Management Tool Providers:

You will work with vendor management tool providers to set up vendors, extract contract information, and update metadata.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree:

You must have a bachelor's degree and at least 16 years of experience or an advanced degree and at least 14 years of experience.

  • Managerial Experience:

You must have at least 5 years of managerial experience, including goal setting and performance management.

  • Excellent Communication Skills:

You must have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication.

  • Think Out of the Box:

You must be able to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions.
