Job Title: Digital Lending Executive

Location: Chennai, India

Reporting to: Chief Business Officer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a strategic leader to head our digital lending business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for profit and loss ownership, designing and executing business strategies, product development, risk management, partnerships, and digital growth in the digital lending segment. This role requires deep knowledge of unsecured lending, fintech innovations, customer acquisition, and credit policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy & Growth
    • Own end-to-end profit and loss for the digital lending business.
    • Define business plans, growth roadmap, and product strategies.
    • Drive customer acquisition through digital, affiliates, partnerships, and co-lending partnerships.
    • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Product & Process Management
    • Develop innovative digital loan products aligned with customer needs.
    • Optimize loan approval turn-around time, onboarding journey, and digital lending processes.
    • Work with technology teams to build seamless digital journeys (app/web).
  • Risk & Credit Management
    • Collaborate with credit/risk teams to define policies, scorecards, and underwriting models.
    • Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency, and non-performing asset trends.
    • Implement robust fraud detection & collection strategies.
  • Stakeholder & Team Leadership
    • Lead and build a high-performing sales, product, and operations team.
    • Manage relationships with affiliates, fintech partners, credit bureaus, and lenders.
    • Work closely with regulators, auditors, and compliance teams.
  • Financial & Regulatory Oversight
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
    • Drive profitability through sustainable interest income, fees, and cost efficiency.
    • Regularly track performance metrics – disbursements, yields, past-due amounts/NPA levels.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Chartered Accountancy, Finance, or Business Management from a reputable institution.
  • Experience: 10–15 years of experience in retail lending, with at least 5 years in digital lending.
  • Proven track record in scaling unsecured loan portfolios in NBFCs/Fintechs/Banks.
  • Strong knowledge of credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and digital lending.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Tech-savvy mindset with exposure to digital loan origination & alternative credit models.
