Senior Electrical Project Manager for Large-Scale Data Center

Develop and implement electrical systems design strategies for a major data center project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical engineering, project management, and data center infrastructure.

About the Role:

This is an opportunity to lead a high-profile electrical design and implementation project. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of power distribution systems, including medium- and low-voltage equipment.
  • Manage the design and installation of backup power systems, including UPS and generators.
  • Coordinate with utility companies for power requirements and connections.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior electrical engineers and technicians.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation progress and quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during construction and commissioning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years specifically in data center projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale electrical projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of data center power systems, including 2N and N+1 redundancy configurations.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA).
  • Strong understanding of energy efficiency practices and sustainable design principles.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
