About This Role

We seek a seasoned CPQ Architect to design, implement and optimize enterprise-grade Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Conga CPQ/CLM platforms and a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end Salesforce ecosystem architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect scalable and extensible Conga CPQ and CLM solutions tailored to complex business requirements.
  • Translate functional specifications into detailed technical designs and architecture blueprints.
  • Drive the end-to-end architecture vision for CPQ solutions including data modeling, user experience design, and integration patterns.

Implementation & Configuration

The successful candidate will lead full-cycle implementation of Conga CPQ projects including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. They will also configure Conga CPQ rules, templates, pricing engines, product bundles, approval workflows, and custom plug-ins.

Technical Leadership

The candidate will provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and solution engineers. They will conduct code reviews and establish coding best practices, performance standards, and governance policies. They will own quality assurance standards and lead technical risk assessments.

Integration & Data Flow Management

The successful candidate will design and oversee seamless integration of Conga CPQ with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud and third-party systems. They will build and maintain integration touchpoints using MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware platforms.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

The candidate will identify bottlenecks and provide tuning recommendations to ensure high availability and performance. They will resolve complex CPQ/CLM configuration and performance issues across environments.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance

The successful candidate will partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives. They will lead technical workshops and present architecture roadmaps to senior leadership and executive sponsors.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 - 12 years of IT experience with a strong background in Salesforce platform architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Conga CPQ/CLM design and implementations.
  • Salesforce certifications preferred: Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist, Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Architect certifications.
  • Conga certifications or deep product knowledge of Conga Composer, Orchestrate, Grid, Contracts, and Conga Sign.
  • Strong command over Apex, Lightning Components, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, and integration frameworks.
  • Experience with DevOps processes, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD in Salesforce environments.
  • Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise SDLC.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) or other CPQ platforms like Salesforce CPQ, Apttus.
  • Exposure to enterprise domains such as SaaS, manufacturing, telecom, or healthcare.
  • Working knowledge of data security, compliance (GDPR, SOX), and governance within Salesforce.
