Senior Network Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to lead our network security initiatives.

  • Design and implement network security architectures that meet organizational needs and future growth requirements.
  • Develop and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate network security solutions to potential clients.
  • Work closely with Customer Facing Teams (CFTs) to understand and address customer requirements, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Validate design solutions to ensure they meet customer requirements and are technically feasible, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Provide engineering support for the network infrastructure, including troubleshooting network issues and ensuring network security, with a focus on proactive measures to prevent security breaches.
  • Lead network-related projects from conception to completion, managing resources, timelines, and deliverables, with a focus on meeting project goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including SDWAN, SD Security, SSE, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, Multicast, and switching, with a focus on implementing secure architecture.
  • Experience in at least 2 of the SSE products - Versa, Palo Alto Prisma, Zscaler, Netskope, with a focus on implementing scalable and secure solutions.
  • Experience in at least 1 of the Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) - AWS, Azure, GCP, with a focus on integrating cloud-based solutions with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex network issues, with a focus on resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team of network engineers, with a focus on mentoring and developing team members.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Virtualization, VMWare, and NetAPP, with a focus on implementing virtualized solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised, meet multiple deadlines to address multiple issues, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with regard to communicating technical issues to a non-technical audience, with a focus on clear and concise communication.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing secure network architectures.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP/HTTPS, with a focus on implementing secure protocols.
  • Experience with network security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management systems, with a focus on implementing effective security controls.
