Key Securities Operations Role

This critical position is responsible for overseeing a team of specialists in transactional tasks to ensure quality and compliance in securities operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of analysts and specialists responsible for income collection and entitlement processing, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to drive individual growth and team success.
  • Ensure team members comprehend their roles within the broader asset servicing lifecycle, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility.
Performance Enhancement:
  • Conduct thorough performance reviews and development planning sessions to identify areas for improvement and provide targeted support.
  • Identify skill gaps and offer training or mentoring opportunities to equip team members with the necessary expertise.
  • Recognize and reward outstanding performance while addressing underperformance constructively, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Workforce Planning Strategy:
  • Effectively allocate resources to meet operational demands and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Manage staffing levels, including hiring, onboarding, and succession planning, to maintain a high-performing team that adapts to changing business needs.
Operational Excellence Initiative:
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement by fostering open communication and encouraging proactive issue resolution.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness.
Communication & Collaboration Principles:
  • Act as a liaison between the team and senior management, middle office, and client service teams, promoting transparency and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and encourage open dialogue to promote a culture of trust and respect.
  • Promote active listening and constructive feedback to enhance relationships and drive results.
Compliance & Risk Management Best Practices:
  • Ensure team adherence to internal controls, compliance policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong risk culture and ethical standards.
  • Lead audits and reviews related to income servicing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Change Management Expertise:
  • Guide the team through process changes, system upgrades, and organizational shifts, minimizing disruption and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Champion automation and digital transformation initiatives, driving innovation and improving operational efficiency.

Requirements: 2+ years of experience in Securities Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education. 1+ year of Leadership experience.
