Plastic Toys Development Specialist

This position plays a crucial role in the development and manufacturing process of plastic toys, ensuring that products meet safety and quality standards.
As part of our team, you will work closely with factories to ensure that molds are properly built and delivered on time, and that factories prepare samples for approval and testing. You will also oversee tool manufacturing processes and schedules, as well as monitor factories to implement optimized manufacturing processes and proper control.
Additionally, you will follow up on quality and safety issues found during inspection and testing at factory level, conduct corrective action and preventive actions, and provide support and follow-up on quality and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in new product turn-over activities, providing technical opinions on product design.
- Manage new product development schedules to ensure timely releases for production.
- Organize and lead EP meetings during tooling development stages to resolve issues found at EP stage.
- Work closely with tool makers and factories to ensure mold construction and delivery on time.
- Ensure factories prepare samples for approval and testing.
- Oversight tool manufacturing processes and schedules.
- Monitor factories for implementation of optimized manufacturing processes and proper control.
- Follow up on quality and safety issues found during inspection and testing.
For this role, we seek an individual with:
- Solid experience and technical expertise in plastic toys, premium & children's products.
- Proven experience working with factories in high-volume production.
- Good knowledge in various other product areas.
With at least 5 years of working experience in the toys or hard plastic industry and a degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or relevant scientific/technical discipline, you will possess strong analytic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Additional requirements include good communication and influence skills, spoken and written English proficiency, reliability, high integrity, business ethics, team player skills, and self-motivation.
