We're an award-winning digital agency working with non-profits, public bodies, and tourism brands. Our work is accessible, meaningful, and high-converting. We're looking for a Head of Design to lead our Figma-first, WordPress-focused design team.

This role is not suitable for generalist designers or project managers. We're interested in hands-on designers with a proven background leading web design in an agency environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a remote team of Figma-based web designers
  • Create clean, consistent design systems and UI libraries
  • Evaluate all designs to ensure WCAG 2.2 accessibility and performance standards are met
  • Work closely with developers to ensure accurate build-out
  • Review designs, improve workflows, and maintain our internal design playbook
  • Occasionally join client workshops (English-speaking)
  • Utilize Figma, Slack, Teams, Asana, and Time Doctor

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of web/digital design experience (must include client website work)
  • 3+ years managing a design team in an agency
  • Fluent in Figma (components, libraries, auto layout, prototypes)
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress layout principles, dev handoff, and responsive UX
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS basics, web performance, and visual hierarchy
  • Confident communicator with fluent English

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience applying WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards
  • Knowledge of accessibility tools like WAVE or AXE
  • Familiarity with Irish public sector design practices
