Lead Java Software Engineer

This role involves overseeing the development of high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure backend applications for fintech and payment systems.
  • Create and manage RESTful APIs and microservices for complex, data-driven applications.
  • Lead system architecture design and database schema planning for scalable applications.

The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development, along with strong analytical problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as frontend, DevOps, QA, UI/UX, and product teams to achieve project goals.
  • Overseeing integration with third-party services, including sandbox/live environment testing and compliance validation.
  • Performing and overseeing code reviews to ensure best practices, code quality, maintainability, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Requirements include:

  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in cloud-based deployments, preferably on Oracle Cloud or similar platforms.
  • Expertise in Git, version control workflows, and collaboration tools.

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to write technical documentation, and a strong background in software engineering.

Bonus qualifications include exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Postman) and experience with DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Java programming.
