Job Title: Senior Insurance Professional

Job Description:

  • Lead a team of 5-6 members to manage catastrophe modeling and treaty modelling processes.
  • Assess individual accounts or portfolios based on provided information, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Enhance process efficiency by continuously evaluating and improving the end-to-end catastrophe modelling process.
  • Understand location information, prioritize high-value and high-risk locations.
  • Format, scrub, and arrange data for model understanding, ensuring logical checks are in place.
  • Achieve accurate and timely account pricing while considering service level agreements.
  • Maintain exposure databases and analyze their completeness and accuracy.
  • Support underwriters with queries, exposure movement year-over-year, and provide risk-specific observations.
  • Contribute to process enhancements and improvements.
  • Interpret model results and provide risk-specific observations to underwriters.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in cat modelling/treaty modelling, preferably with insurance/reinsurance experience.
  • Exposure to AIR touchstone, SQL, MS office proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excel manipulation and functions at a foundation level.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Insurance certification or projects in dissertation.
  • Advanced Excel/VBA programming language.
  • Team management skills.
