Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Energy Storage Specialist to lead the design and implementation of battery-based energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical designs for battery-based energy storage systems, including power conversion systems, battery management systems, energy management systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition system designs.
  • Familiarity with applicable USA codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of technical documents and installations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with current battery technologies and their characteristics.
  • Develop FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems, as well as review vendor-provided technical documents.
  • Manage bids and projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project scope.
  • Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures.
  • Attend manufacturer-approved training sessions on equipment.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field. PhDs in similar fields are also welcome.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  • At least 3 years of electrical knowledge/training experience in BESS.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience in client management, team management, and process management is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of other electrical and PV software is an added advantage.
