Key Responsibilities include supporting operational systems to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations in procurement. This involves executing risk assessments of critical suppliers and contributing to the improvement program for third-party suppliers.

  • Risk assessments are conducted on selected business-critical 3rd party suppliers to identify potential HSE risks.
  • The role contributes to the overall 3rd party supplier improvement program by implementing corrective actions and monitoring supplier performance.

HSE Compliance is ensured through adherence to established processes, standards, and tracking of findings. The system also supports supplier oversight on HSE aspects, ensuring timely reviews and monitoring of mitigation actions.

Sustainability targets are achieved through collaborative efforts with suppliers. Key learnings are summarized and shared within the organization to promote best practices.

New 3rd party and existing supplier HSE due diligence assessments are executed as per internal guidelines, synergizing with Health, Environment, Regulatory, and Manufacturing (HERM) operations.

Events related to HSE at supplier sites are reviewed and monitored to prevent non-compliance and environmental sustainability issues.

Desirable Requirements
  • A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a postgraduate qualification is required.
  • Candidates must have 5-10 years of experience in HSE roles within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry, including 1-2 years in medium-to-large site or large organizations.
  • HSE audits should be conducted as lead auditor or co-auditor for HSE management systems, including local legal regulations.
  • Certification as an HSE auditor from reputable training programs or Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 systems is essential.
