Job Overview

This role oversees critical banking infrastructure operations, managing data centers, cloud infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and networks. The jobholder will lead a team of professionals to ensure stable infrastructure services, improving uptime and performance through service improvement plans and technology refresh.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for running 7x24 mission-critical operations, offering stable infrastructure services and measuring performance using metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of in-house and outsourced professionals to manage and support operations, fostering their career progression and development.
  • Innovate and introduce new infrastructure capabilities to enhance business capabilities and employee productivity.
  • Contribute to major incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive actions to ensure service uptime.
  • Drive the adoption of service improvements through a programmatic approach to continuous improvement.
  • Manage timely service renewals, proactive risk identification, and timely risk closures.
  • Accountable for driving key projects affecting infrastructure & operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
  • Optimize operational costs, develop RFPs/RFIs, oversee product evaluations, and play a decision-making role in product and service selections.
  • Clean audits, meet information security, audit, and compliance requirements, reducing operational risks and compliance issues.
  • Establish and maintain governance mechanisms to ensure effective controls and processes within the infrastructure operations teams.
  • Build successful stakeholder relationships with IT senior leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors, developing strategic partnerships and reviews.

Requirements

  • A minimum of - years of experience in infrastructure & operations, preferably in the banking industry.
  • Deep knowledge of technologies such as Nutanix, Active Directory, Networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SDWAN), Routing, Switching, MPLS, QoS, VOIP, Load Balancers, Network Monitoring Tools, Private and Public Cloud, and Network Security.
  • Exceptional leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop and communicate vision that inspires and motivates staff.
  • Persuasive communication style, capable of communicating complex technical topics to various audiences.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and priorities, redirecting teams toward new objectives.
  • Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems and deep knowledge of applicable laws and regulations for the banking industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, Electronics, Engineering, or Diploma (+2+3).
