Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer (Member of Technical Staff) to join our Athena Environments and Stability team in Chennai. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality code to production as a full-stack developer in an Agile team of diverse engineers.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and deploy high-quality code to production as a full-stack developer in an Agile team of diverse engineers.
  2. Participate in agile ceremonies & drive best practices to improve team performance.
  3. Proactively identify and propose new, alternative technology to create scalable implementations and achieve results.
  4. Act as the subject matter expert for area of assignment.
  5. Work collaboratively across the Technology and Product organizations to ensure alignment towards business goals.
Qualifications:
  1. Ideal 2+ years of progressive software development experience with significant product development expertise.
  2. Good knowledge of modern programming languages/application development frameworks such as: Java, JavaScript, Spring framework.
  3. Experience working with established large codebase, added Advantage: Full stack development experience.
  4. Good working experience with Perl/Python, SQL/PL-SQL, RDBMS & Unix scripting skills.
  5. Good working experience in building, deploying containerized applications on cloud platforms like AWS ECS/EKS and familiarity in AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
  6. Familiarity with application build, deployment, monitoring tools & frameworks like CI/CD in Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog etc.
  7. Strong programming skills. You're expected to be able to read and understand code as well as develop necessary tools.
  8. Strong knowledge of any source control management tools.
  9. Knowledge of DevSecOps practices like Infrastructure as code, CI, CD, and continuous monitoring etc
  10. Scripting experience with shell scripting in Linux.
  11. Understands Agile concepts & participated in various agile ceremonies is preferred.
  12. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  13. Comfortable working within established large codebase and process frameworks.
  14. Proactive and self-motivated – willing to improve on existing processes to allow for faster iterations.
  15. Good record of accomplishment of learning new tools and technologies.
