PYP Educational Leader

We are seeking an accomplished educator to lead our Primary Years Programme, fostering a student-centered environment that aligns with the principles of the IB framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and review the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines, ensuring seamless delivery to students.
  • Tutor Support and Guidance: Work closely with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the PYP, promoting a culture of inquiry and reflection within the educational team.
  • Professional Growth and Development: Provide guidance and support for teachers in developing transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences, enhancing their skills and expertise.
  • School Community Engagement: Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the PYP, its benefits, and how it contributes to student success.
  • Assessment and Records Management: Coordinate and support student assessments and maintain records as per IB requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education: Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in pedagogy and curriculum design.
  • IB Certification: IB PYP Coordinator training or certification is essential, showcasing a deep understanding of the IB framework and its application in education.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching, with a strong background in the IB framework, particularly the PYP, and a proven track record of leadership and collaboration.
  • Skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, driving positive outcomes and student success.
