A strategic Transaction Advisor role is available at a mid-tier boutique advisory.

This position involves working with start-ups and high-growth companies in the early-stage ecosystem, providing comprehensive Virtual CFO services, Valuations, Financial & Tax Due Diligence, and Tax Advisory solutions tailored to the unique needs of founders, investors, and businesses scaling rapidly.

About the Role

As a driven and detail-oriented Manager, you will lead and execute engagements across finance, valuations, due diligence, and tax advisory.

The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to founders and investors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Retainerships: Serve as a strategic financial partner to start-ups, overseeing budgeting, MIS reporting, cash flow, and investor communications.
  • Build financial discipline and governance frameworks tailored for scaling businesses.
  • Valuations: Support valuations for fundraises, secondary transfers, and M&A transactions in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Due Diligence: Lead buy-side/sell-side due diligence projects including financial health checks, revenue/margin analysis, working capital assessments, and historical reviews.
  • Tax Advisory: Provide tax structuring advice for business models and transactions, including cross-border setups, holding structures, ESOPs, and exits.
  • Client Management & Team Leadership: Manage multiple client engagements with professionalism and responsiveness. Mentor junior colleagues and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Requirements:

  • CA with 4–6 years of relevant experience in transaction advisory at a mid-tier boutique advisory or in a start-up finance team with exposure to FP&A and fundraise projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, financial modeling, and valuation principles.
  • Proven track record in client servicing and team management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
