Job Opportunity

Design and Develop Wireless Systems

We are seeking a skilled individual to design and develop advanced wireless systems. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for bringing up Mist Systems firmware for new access point hardware, writing high-performance device drivers for wireless and wired networking, and creating software to collect, analyze, and distribute wireless statistics.

  • Create efficient firmware solutions for access point hardware.
  • Develop high-performance device drivers for wireless and wired networking.
  • Design software to collect, analyze, and distribute wireless statistics.
  • Work with our hardware engineers to define new products and technologies.
  • Collaborate with data analytics engineers to build smart and reactive wireless networks.
  • Communicate with customers and product managers to resolve issues and develop new features.
  • Take the initiative in creating customer value through technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Persistent, creative, and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive experience in C code development.
  • Familiarity with developing for the Linux kernel and operating system.
  • Able to work across the embedded stack: boot loader, device drivers, kernel, user space.
  • In-depth knowledge of 802.11/WiFi protocols.
  • Familiarity with wired protocols.
  • Strong understanding of ARM CPU architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Desired Experience:

  • High-level systems language programming (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Assembly language programming (e.g., ARM, X86).
  • Broadcom or QCA wireless driver experience.
  • Knowledge of 802.11ac/ax and WiFi fast roaming.
  • ARM CPU architecture expertise.
  • Security protocol knowledge.
  • Interest in working with machine learning and data science teams.
