A System Architect Opportunity

Cradlepoint is seeking a skilled professional to design and develop innovative networking solutions. As a system architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology.

This position requires strong expertise in networking protocols, distributed computing concepts, and system-level services. You will work closely with our agile team to develop cutting-edge products, collaborating on feature design, coding, unit testing, and support for feature testing and regression testing.

The successful candidate will have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with a solid grasp of routing principles and client-server architecture. Proficiency in Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, including BGP, ISIS, OSPF, ARP, ND, IPv6, RIB, and BFD, is essential. Experience in designing and building system-level services, such as system logging, event handling, and health monitoring, is also required.

You will be responsible for developing and integrating management interfaces (CLI, Netconf/YANG, SNMP, ENM) and supporting observability, diagnostics, and performance monitoring features. The ability to integrate with external network or element management systems is crucial. In addition, you will contribute to comprehensive documentation and ongoing product maintenance and improvement.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Expertise in one or more areas: Networking & Routing, Infrastructure Services, OAM
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies and related protocols
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming, particularly in software development for L2/L3 Ethernet switches or routers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with independent thinking and a quick learning ability
