Geospatial Data Specialist: Unlocking Insights

This role offers a unique opportunity to harness the power of geospatial data and drive business success through informed decision-making. As a Geospatial Data Specialist, you will play a critical part in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to support organizational objectives.

We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in geospatial technology, data analysis, and AI/ML. The successful candidate will possess excellent time management skills, be proficient in image processing techniques, and have a solid understanding of GIS software and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection and Management: Search, collect, process, and manage large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data.
  • ETL Operations: Perform Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server.
  • GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge on imagery-based data creation on Esri platform.
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve issues proactively and provide recommendations to business partners, peers, and management.
