Job Summary

The MEP CAD Technician is responsible for designing and delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by creating accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.


Main Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborate with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • E nsure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Support the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Manage drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Contribute to producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
