Software Development Role

We are seeking an exceptional software development professional to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a full-time opportunity for a talented developer who can design, develop, and maintain sophisticated software applications with simple user interfaces. Our ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and great communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Feature Development: Design and develop new features to enhance our software applications.
  • Code Maintenance: Maintain and update existing codebases to ensure they remain efficient and scalable.
  • Testing and Deployment: Test and deploy code changes to ensure seamless integration with our systems.
  • Back-end Development: Develop back-end components using Ruby on Rails and other technologies.
  • Integration and Optimization: Integrate user-facing elements with back-end functionality while ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices.
  • Performance Enhancement: Optimize application performance and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web-based software development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and ability to write clean Ruby code.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools like Bitbucket, Git, GitHub.
  • Knowledge of MVC and REST architecture.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, and Bootstrap framework.
  • Familiarity with database technology and SQL programming (we use MySQL).
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (we use Jira, Scrum).
  • Proficient with Linux distributions like Ubuntu.
