Lead Product Design Vision

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director-Product Design Team Lead to spearhead our product design strategy. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our company by designing and releasing intuitive and powerful solutions that empower both internal teams and external users.

The Senior Director, Product Design will lead the design team and be responsible for developing a holistic design vision for our products. They will ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience across internal and external applications.

About the Role

  • Design Strategy - Define and drive the design vision for our products, ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms.
  • Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in product management, engineering, and data science to align on product strategy, goals, and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of product designers, providing guidance and direction to achieve design excellence.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design decisions are informed by user needs and behaviors.
  4. Maintain and establish a centralized design system with standards, patterns, and best practices for designing with AI.
  5. Present design strategies and concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent.
  • 12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product-centric company.
  • Proven experience leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a track record of using data to inform design decisions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Previous experience working on AI-powered products and/or curiosity about the rapidly evolving landscape and its impact on design and user experience.
