We are now hiring a Head of Legal to lead our legal function into its next phase of depth and agility.

Job Overview
  • Lead all legal documentation and execution for investment transactions and internal structuring.
  • Serve as the final reviewer and sign-off authority for all deal-bound legal documents.
Responsibilities
  1. End-to-End Transaction Ownership
    1. Lead all legal documentation and execution for investment transactions.
    2. Ensure that each transaction progresses with rigor and velocity.
  2. Fund Structuring & Entity Formation
    1. Design and advise on structuring for new funds and SPVs.
    2. Liaise with advisors and regulatory authorities on fund registration and governance documentation.
  3. Legal Infrastructure & Digital Systems
    1. Lead the implementation of a contract lifecycle management system.
    2. Institutionalize workflows for documentation and approval processes.
  4. Litigation, IP, and Governance
    1. Manage ongoing and potential disputes in collaboration with legal retainers.
    2. Oversee Artha's IP portfolio.
  5. Team Leadership & Department Building
    1. Build and lead a legal team.
    2. Drive a culture of clarity and ownership within the legal function.
  6. Retainer and Counsel Partnership
    1. Maintain strong working relationships with Artha's external counsel.
    2. Serve as the internal bridge between Artha's operating teams and its legal advisors.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive legal experience.
  • Prior exposure to venture capital or private equity ecosystems preferred.
  • Exceptional command of contract law and corporate governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-context negotiations.
  • Proven team builder with a sharp operational mindset.
