Job Title: Advanced Network Security Specialist

Job Description

The role of a network security engineer is vital in ensuring the uptime and maintenance of critical networking systems. This individual must have a high level of technical expertise to resolve complex network issues.

A key element within our infrastructure team, this specialist takes ownership of complex network issues and ensures they are resolved or documented for future reference.

This expert actively monitors the network at all levels using various tools and communicates with teams to resolve identified issues or escalates them to the appropriate level.

They respond to issues escalated via tickets and phone calls from internal customers and engage directly with external customers via public ticket comments and phone conversations to ensure problem resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Intermediate to advanced depth or breadth of expertise in network security.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of recent network security experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Sound problem-solving skills coupled with a desire to take on responsibility.
  • Passion for technology and a desire to constantly expand your knowledge.

Additionally, you should possess:

  • Any combination of Juniper, Cisco certifications, F5, Palo Alto, NetScaler, or relevant vendor certifications.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, B.E,MCA/BCA , Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
