Cloud Data Engineer for BFSI

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in the BFSI domain. As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud technologies.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing complex algorithms and analytical solutions, and developing predictive models that drive business value.

  • Collaborate with data science teams to develop and implement advanced analytics solutions.
  • Use agile development practices to improve back-end systems and ensure seamless data flow.
  • Design and implement ETL pipelines that clean, transform and aggregate data from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based data warehouses using BigQuery.
  • Implement machine learning models to predict business outcomes and optimize decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in computer science, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL. You should also have hands-on experience with Google Cloud technologies, including BigQuery, Airflow and CI/CD.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Spark, Hive, Core Java, Linux and scripting languages.
  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines, data warehousing and big data processing.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or R.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Professional certification in GCP Data Engineer or related fields (desired).
  • Experience working in the BFSI domain is highly desirable.
