Job Title: Senior Associate

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our team. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for valuing businesses, business interests, and intangible assets for various clients.

  • You will analyze historical financial and operating results of target companies to explain business trends and identify risks.
  • You will analyze and challenge assumptions related to future financial projections.
  • You will assist in the development of discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA, etc.)
  • You will conduct financial statement analysis (e.g., common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis)
  • You will perform market/industry research and develop industry growth estimates.
  • You will construct and review valuation and other financial models.
  • You will assist with the design and preparation of valuation reports and other client deliverables.
  • You will present analyses and conclusions to internal management and external client POCs, their boards of directors, and to fiduciaries.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience performing work related to fair value of debt, equity, purchase price allocation, and/or goodwill impairments in a public accounting, consulting, or investment banking environment is required.
  • Fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and experience in traditional valuation methods such as discounted cash flow method, guideline public company method, and guidance transaction method is required.
  • Experience in valuing contingent consideration and valuation for mergers & acquisitions, and other transactions is preferred.
  • Experience in building, analyzing, and reviewing financial models for high-level decision-making is preferred.
  • Comprehensive experience with financial databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and other high-level tools is preferred.
  • Track record of managing multiple high-stakes projects and delivering under tight deadlines is preferred.
  • Functional understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations is required.
  • Demonstrated technical skills working with financial models in Excel is required.
