Job Description
As a Senior Plumbing and Firefighting Design Specialist at Job24by7, you will be responsible for designing and developing plumbing and firefighting systems for various projects. Your primary focus will be on producing concept designs, schematic designs, and construction designs that meet client requirements and specifications.
You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise in plumbing and firefighting system design will enable us to deliver exceptional results and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plumbing and firefighting systems for various projects.
- Produce tender drawings, calculate notes, and shop drawings as required.
- Select and prepare materials for submission.
- Contact suppliers to request quotations and technical documents.
- Take off BOQs for firefighting and plumbing systems.
- Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction times.
- Consult with consultants to determine MEP functions and spatial requirements.
- Closely coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Architect, and Structure teams.
- Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawing and specification documents.
- Plan layouts of projects.
- Prepare scale drawings.
- Collaborate with supervisors in preparing technical reports and installation documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Prepare project schedules, designs, and constructions.
- Prepare progress reports, daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports.
- Prepare material lists.
- Prepare costing for bidding.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in plumbing and firefighting system design.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
