Community Outreach Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Community Outreach Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in identifying and engaging with individuals and families in need of services.

  • We require an individual who can conduct community visits to assess the needs of our target population and facilitate referrals to relevant health, education, or social service providers as needed.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for raising awareness about program objectives, services, and entitlements through effective communication and outreach strategies.
  • You will also maintain accurate records of visits, interventions, and follow-ups, ensuring that we are meeting our goals and objectives.
  • In addition, you will organize and conduct community meetings, group sessions, or awareness campaigns to promote our programs and services.
  • As a liaison between our organization and the community, you will ensure that the community's needs and feedback are communicated effectively.
  • You will assist in distributing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to support our outreach efforts.
  • Finally, you will support data collection and documentation for project monitoring and evaluation, helping us to measure our impact and improve our services.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as communications, social work, or public health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with community-based programs and services.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
