Merchandising Expert

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal collections that meet customer requirements.
  • Develop samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with buyers.
  • Effectively manage material orders within tight timelines while optimizing budget and costs.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, work independently, and adapt to changing environments.
  • Handle small and high-value businesses efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Possess technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing for categories like shirts, jackets, and bottoms.
  • Lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Exhibit high levels of ownership and commitment to achieve results.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, or Fashion Technology.
  • 1-8 years of experience as a merchandiser in a woven garment factory (buyer handling experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Able to multitask, handle pressure, and meet deadlines.
