Program Implementation Director

- Lead the implementation of Arthan's programs in partner districts, ensuring alignment with the organization's theory of change.
- Oversee the program implementation team, driving programs towards optimal outcomes and fostering effective collaboration among team members.
- Develop and execute comprehensive plans for program implementation, including planning, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Represent Arthan's programs to stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and donors, and advocate for the organization's interests.
- Identify and address operational challenges faced by the team, promoting a culture of innovation and problem-solving.
- Serve as a key point of contact between Arthan and its stakeholders in the education department, administration, and community.
- Coordinate effectively between government stakeholders and the team, ensuring seamless program implementation.
- Promote thought leadership, building key partnerships between communities, schools, and partner organizations to drive program development.
- Maintain excellent relationships with government teachers, HMs, cluster, block, and district-level officers, and other key stakeholders in program implementation areas.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and prepare reports to monitor program health and progress.
- Resolve issues arising in the field through effective coordination with Arthan's management and external stakeholders.
- Travel extensively to facilitate and monitor program implementation in government schools.
This is a field position requiring significant travel.
Required Skills- Strong understanding of the government school context or government administration in education.
- Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options with education department officials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kannada.
- Proven ability to manage field programs spread across various locations.
- Ability to make compelling pitches about programs to donors, facilitate field visits, and nudge discussions towards fruitful outcomes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience working with state-level and district-level administration in the education department to implement systemic solutions.
- Leadership skills to guide the team by example.
