At Canonical, we're looking for individuals who have experience with Linux troubleshooting and system performance. You will be accountable for delivering technical expertise to our customers and providing them with exceptional support. As part of this role, you'll be required to manage cases, resolve issues efficiently, and work closely with colleagues to achieve our goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch customer service through problem qualification, resolution, and transfer of cases to senior engineers when needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and information exchange within the team.
  • Maintain regular working hours, including occasional weekend shifts as part of a rotation.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products, services, and technologies by attending training sessions, team gatherings, and events.
  • Document knowledge and lessons learned in articles that can be shared with customers and contribute to improving our service level agreements (SLAs).
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS, or related fields.
  • Prior experience with Linux server administration, troubleshooting, and integration with other environments is highly valued.
  • You should have strong written and verbal English communication skills, be able to learn quickly, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to new challenges.
  • Familiarity with open-source projects and enthusiasm for contributing to the community is an asset.
