Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the optimization of Ubuntu, the world's most widely used Linux desktop and server, for the latest silicon. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto) and a strong background in working with open source communities and licenses.

This is a fast-paced, problem-solving role that requires resourcefulness, articulation, and the ability to deliver on a wide variety of solutions across PC and IoT technologies. Our team partners with specialist engineers from major silicon companies to integrate next-generation features and performance enhancements for upcoming hardware.

The successful candidate will work across the full Linux stack from kernel through GUI to optimize Ubuntu. They will also participate as technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar field.
  • Experience working with C, C++.
  • Ability to work in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation.
