Senior Energy Storage Systems Designer

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of battery-based energy storage systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Electrical system design including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations in the USA
  • Review technical documents and installations as part of due diligence and owner's engineer experience
  • Develop knowledge of fundamental aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies relating to battery parameters
  • Prepare FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems and review vendor-provided documents
  • Manage bids and projects throughout their life cycle
  • Conduct electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures
  • Attend training sessions on equipment provided by manufacturers and approved by managers
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in BESS
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field
  • Able to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics technical manuals procedures and regulations
  • Electrical knowledge/training experience of at least three years in BESS
  • Excellent organization communication analytical planning time management and customer service skills
  • Competent skills using Microsoft Office software including Outlook Excel and Word
  • Client management team management and process management skills
  • Knowledge of other electrical and PV software is an advantage
