Job Overview

The company is seeking a seasoned Renewable Energy Project Director to oversee the lifecycle management of renewable energy and battery energy storage projects.

  • Lifecycle Management:
    • Manage the full project lifecycle – from concept, feasibility, design, execution, commissioning to handover and operations.
    • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations models.
    • Align project execution with corporate vision, growth strategy, and sustainability goals.
    • Evaluate and recommend technology options, project partnerships, and business models for optimal impact.
  • Project Execution & Delivery:
    • Oversee multiple project portfolios with a sharp focus on timely delivery, quality control, and cost optimization.
    • Lead tendering, contracting, vendor evaluation, and engineering functions.
    • Implement robust project monitoring systems (dashboards, KPIs, risk tracking).
    • Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and environmental compliance for all project stages.
  • Operations & Maintenance:
    • Set up efficient operations and maintenance frameworks for long-term performance and asset lifecycle management of deployed renewable and BESS assets.
    • Ensure customer SLAs, uptime commitments, and remote monitoring standards are met.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including clients, partners, vendors, contractors, utilities, regulators, and land authorities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with state agencies, utilities, and central renewable bodies.
  • Team Building & Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor project, engineering, and operations teams across locations.
    • Foster a high-performance culture focused on ownership, accountability, and results.
  • Business Development Support:
    • Collaborate with BD, Commercial, and Finance teams to assess new opportunities and structure viable project proposals.
    • Provide techno-commercial input for bids, investor presentations, and joint venture structuring.
