Senior Tax Compliance Specialist

Lead corporate tax compliance operations for UAE-based clients, responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tax computation, implementation of UAE tax laws, and coordination with client-side finance teams.

  • Tax Compliance & Computation:
    • Manage monthly and annual UAE corporate tax computations for multiple entities, maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Review tax workings and ensure reconciliation with financial statements, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax law, including DTAA provisions and international transaction treatment, staying up-to-date with regulatory changes.
    • Handle computation of Deferred Tax Assets (DTA) and Deferred Tax Liabilities (DTL) as per IFRS/GAAP, applying best practices.
  • Client Coordination & Communication:
    • Coordinate with client finance teams for data, clarifications, and alignment on tax positions, fostering strong relationships.
    • Participate in scheduled calls to present deliverables and ensure smooth submission processes, maintaining open communication channels.
    • Address follow-ups, documentation queries, and support in tax authority communication, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Implementation & Process Improvement:
    • Interpret and implement updates in UAE Corporate Tax law across client engagements, driving process improvements.
    • Update working templates and SOPs to reflect regulatory changes, streamlining compliance processes.
    • Drive standardization and efficiency across compliance processes, minimizing errors and delays.
  • Reporting & Governance:
    • Maintain trackers for deliverables, deadlines, and client-specific workflows, ensuring seamless project management.
    • Prepare internal and external reports on tax compliance status and key metrics, providing actionable insights.
    • Ensure adherence to firm-wide quality standards in all submissions, upholding the highest level of professionalism.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals handling UAE compliance delivery, developing their skills and expertise.
    • Review outputs for technical accuracy and completeness, providing constructive feedback.
    • Conduct periodic training sessions to ensure team is updated on compliance and regulatory developments, enhancing knowledge sharing.
