We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our AI Platform Team, responsible for building and maintaining scalable and compliant AI infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with expertise in AI/ML models, distributed systems, and cloud computing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying large-scale AI applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment. Additionally, they will be expected to mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

  • Hands-on Architecture & Development: Design and develop platform architecture for LLM use-cases in Coinbase.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to teams and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.
  • Project Management: Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with technical expertise.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers on how to build high-quality software and take their skills to the next level.
  • Quality Assurance: Continually raise engineering standards to maintain high-availability and low-latency for ML inference infrastructure.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ Years of Experience: In software engineering with a strong background in AI/ML models, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
  • At Least 2+ Years of Engineering Management Experience: Proven experience in leading teams, mentoring junior engineers, and defining strategic roadmaps.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
