Job Title: Standard Cell Characterization Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Standard Cell Characterization Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for developing and supporting standard cell libraries from scratch. This includes:

  • PPA tradeoff analysis: You will analyze the power, performance, and area (PPA) tradeoffs between different cell circuit architectures in realistic usage environments.
  • Collaboration with layout team: You will work closely with the layout team to define floor plans and layout guidelines for schematics, ensuring optimal design.
  • Design and implementation of circuits: You will design and implement combinatorial, power management, and sequential circuits using standard EDA tools.
  • Equivalence verification: You will run equivalence verification using ESPCV and verify the functionality, performance, and power of developed circuits.
  • Characterization and views generation: You will characterize and generate views of libraries with custom PVT corners.
  • Modeling new and existing cells: You will model new and existing cells to support industry-wide PnR, simulation, and signoff tools.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation: You will maintain accurate documentation of work, design flows, and reports.
  • Automation of tasks: You will automate manual tasks to reduce overall time and effort.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have experience with standard EDA tools such as RC-extraction, SPICE simulators, and schematic/layout editors, as well as working with views like lef, NLDM, CCS, and .LIB.

You must also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
