Title: Eng Support Specialist II

We are looking for a highly skilled professional responsible for managing and updating various lab settings across different locations. The individual will be responsible for handling test solutions and equipment ensuring they meet calibration and certification requirements.

The team is responsible for electronic test activities on avionics engineering programs. The support specialist works with teams across Aero to update and review electrical, mechanical needs for different test setups as per product specifications. He or she is also responsible for maintaining and optimizing lab layouts to accommodate upcoming projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with using different lab instruments and tools like DMMs, Analyzers etc.
  • Must have strong work experience with cable harness fabrication (crimping & soldering) according to industry standards.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of different power types used across labs (AC & DC).
  • Plan the lab layout for various test benches and explore opportunities for lab space optimization.
  • Plan electrical and mechanical requirements for different labs across locations and support deployment of test benches.
  • Cable fab, soldering, lab equipment handling, ESD in lab and have good understanding of IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Must have electrical & mechanical integration knowledge.
  • Proactively connect with users and collaborate with product teams to understand overall test solution needs.
  • Effectively map the competitive landscape, benchmark design and technology trends.
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of industry experience in lab management with hands-on experience in equipment calibration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Diploma or equivalent degree in Electrical engineering.
  • Hands-on experience dealing with different teams across organizations for coordination of lab upgrades and maintenance.
  • Should have knowledge of different kinds of cable harnesses and connectors (DSUB, Circular).
  • Should have good understanding of different lab equipment, their functions, and input requirements.
  • Go-getter attitude and ability to maneuver in complex, abstract, and dynamic business scenarios.
  • Should have good understanding of AC and DC power supply systems.
  • Prior hands-on experience on test solutions.
