Venture Innovation Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Venture Innovation Analyst to join our team in Mumbai. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates early in their careers who are passionate about climate solutions and sustainable innovation.

As a Venture Innovation Analyst, you will support the investment team in sourcing opportunities, conducting market research, and assisting in deal execution and portfolio management. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Investment Research: Assist in identifying potential investment opportunities through thorough research and preliminary outreach.
  • Due Diligence Support: Collaborate with the team to conduct financial analysis, market validation, and data collection for potential deals.
  • Investment Process Support: Prepare comprehensive investment memos, presentations, and supporting documentation.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Track performance and impact metrics, as well as conduct basic analyses for portfolio companies.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct sectoral research to inform investment theses and track trends in climate tech and sustainability.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Coordinate our presence at industry events and build databases of relevant ecosystem players.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, or related fields from a premier institution.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, or startup roles; climate-focused work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills specific to early-stage investments.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Passion for climate innovation and sustainability.
