Technical Lead for VLSI Design and Development

Role Summary:

As a Technical Lead for VLSI Design and Development, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of ORAN SoC products in the design team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and micro-architecture specifications. Your expertise in RTL design, digital signal processing, and front-end tools will be invaluable in implementing and verifying novel ORAN SoC functional blocks for high-performance applications. Additionally, you will interface with functional leads to track project schedules and dependencies, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and ensure the quality of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in SoC specifications reviews and contribute to micro-architecture definitions.
  • Front-end digital design and implementation using RTL Coding, Lint, CDC, and Synthesis.
  • Develop design constraints and coordinate to debug functional and DFT test issues.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers for task assignment and productivity.
  • Project coordination and status updates.
  • Debug designs, provide timely closure, and improve SoC design methodologies and verification quality.
  • Support IP/Design Verification/Firmware/Software System/Production teams for timely closure of assigned blocks design and implementation issues.

Requirements:

  • Master's and/or Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent) in EC/EE/CS with 10+ years of experience in digital SoC development.
  • Experience in RTL design using Verilog/VHDL and SystemVerilog for CPU/control sub-systems, digital signal processing blocks, and Analog Serdes block.
  • Experience with front-end tools, Gate Level Simulation, and LEC checking.
  • Good understanding of back-end design flow on logic synthesis, constraints, timing analysis, and DFT.
  • Proven knowledge of SystemVerilog assertions, checkers, and design verification techniques.
  • Knowledge of languages such as C/C++, Perl, Tcl, and Python.
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • RTL coding and simulation, Lint, CDC, and Synthesis.
  • Experience with Cadence front-end tools: Xcelium, SimVision, Jasper RTL Apps.
  • Python and Perl scripting for verification automation and report generation.
  • MS Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Able to work effectively with incomplete or changing requirements.
