Financial Process Leader
Job Description:
As a Financial Process Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire invoice processing function. This includes managing operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing process excellence.
This role requires driving strategic initiatives for automation, quality assurance, and policy adherence while mentoring the team and acting as a key liaison with cross-functional departments and senior leadership.
Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end invoice processing for PO-based, non-PO-based, DPR, LC, and import invoices. This involves ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls, GST, SOX, and relevant financial regulations.
You will oversee and optimize invoice workflows, including 3-way/2-way matching, exception handling, and resolution of discrepancies such as blocked invoices, pricing/quantity variances, and GR/IR clearing. Collaboration with procurement, receiving, treasury, and HR teams is essential.
Another key aspect of this role is driving automation initiatives and system enhancements in collaboration with IT and ERP teams (SAP Hana, Nimble, Vendor invoice management tools). This aims to improve invoice posting accuracy and efficiency.
Additionally, you will mentor and lead the invoice processing team, fostering high performance, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices while managing escalations and acting as the primary liaison for business unit queries.
Responsibilities also include monitoring and analyzing invoice processing performance metrics, SLA adherence, aging, and blocked invoice reports. You will prepare and present comprehensive reports and strategic insights to the AP SSC Head.
Finally, you will ensure audit readiness and quality assurance by maintaining thorough documentation, supporting internal and external audit processes, and continuously improving process controls and SOPs.
