Job Overview

Job Title: Senior Associate

Our team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join our organization. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and drafting skills, strong analytical and researching abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit tax matters, including replies to notices, appeals, and representations before tax authorities.
  • Assist clients in responding to department inquiries, investigations, and audits.
  • Prepare responses to show-cause notices and audit replies.
  • Meet with tax officers for hearings as required.
  • Prepare tax appeals for filing at the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) and higher courts.
  • Assist seniors in representing clients before various judicial forums.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on various topics.

Client Service Delivery/Execution:

  • Proactively identify and discuss technical issues with clients while considering firm risk.
  • Execute work on multiple clients, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
  • Develop relationships with middle-level client management.

Commercial Acumen:

  • Stay informed about firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
  • Apply this knowledge to deliver solutions to clients, adding value.

Networking & Identification of Opportunities:

  • Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate them to seniors.
  • Navigate internally within peer groups and other levels in the firm to understand issues impacting clients.

Strong Knowledge Base:

  • Stay updated on the latest tax and other laws developments.
  • Contribute to the firm's knowledge management activities.
