Senior Data Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our tight-knit team of professionals. This group works together to drive the use of cutting-edge technology and strong AI/ML solutions in the construction industry.

The team focuses on leveraging data from various stages of the construction process, from pre-construction to post-construction, to achieve predictable outcomes and automate processes for better efficiency. Key areas of focus include scheduling, planning, supply chain management, safety, quality control, site management, financials, and virtual design construction.

As a Senior Data Scientist at vConstruct, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects such as creating GPT for the construction industry, using computer vision to detect objects on 2D drawings and 3D BIM models, and developing predictive models to forecast losses or predict win/loss of opportunities with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business use cases and develop scalable technical solutions
  • Analyze construction project data and develop predictive models using traditional data science methods and Generative AI
  • Apply machine learning algorithms to improve key processes such as project execution, safety, and risk assessment
  • Design, lead, and own scalable end-to-end development of predictive ML models from hypothesis generation to deployment and monitoring
  • Build, validate, and optimize machine learning and statistical models using best-in-class techniques and QC models developed by Jr. Data Scientists and ML Engineers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 8-10 years of professional experience with at least 6 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and analytics
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies
  • Experience working with construction-related data or similar industries is a plus

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala
  • Proficiency in machine learning, AI & Statistics frameworks and libraries
  • Strong experience in predictive analytics, clustering, classification, regression, and multi-variate techniques
