Job Title: MongoDB Database Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior MongoDB Developer to join our technology team. The successful candidate will design, implement and optimize high-performance MongoDB databases for both on-premises and cloud environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database schemas to support business processes.
  • Develop and maintain scalable database architecture for high availability.
  • Optimize database systems for performance efficiency and monitor database performance.
  • Implement security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
  • Run diagnostic tests and quality assurance procedures.
  • Document processes, systems, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with DBAs and development teams for database backup and recovery procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Mandatory Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in NoSQL database management with primary focus on MongoDB, Azure CosmosDB, and AWS DocumentDB.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven work experience as a MongoDB/Cosmos/DocumentDB expert in performance tuning, data modelling and architecture design.
  • Experience with database architecture and design to support application development projects.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB features such as Sharding and Replication.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
  • Experience with on-premises and cloud-based database hosting.
