About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled automated testing professional to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex software projects and develop your expertise in automation testing.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing. They will align these scripts with acceptance criteria and user stories, execute automated tests, log defects, and support defect triage.

Additional responsibilities include creating and managing test data and environment configurations, identifying and maintaining reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing, contributing to the automation regression suite, and maintaining automation assets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 1-3 years of experience in functional and automation testing, specifically in Guidewire policy center projects;
  • Hands-on experience with type-script automation tools such as Playwright or JavaScript-based frameworks like Cypress/Selenium;
  • Programming skills and experience with test design, including test code issue resolution, updates, and debugging;
  • Exposure to QA lifecycle tools like JIRA or equivalent, and understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with unit testing and mobile testing, as well as experience in improving test coverage and test strategy, would be an asset. Additionally, knowledge of performance testing tools and CI/CD tools is desirable.
