Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Principal Data Engineer. This key position will be instrumental in shaping the architecture and mentoring senior engineers, as well as developing and maintaining modern data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cutting-edge data warehouses using leading DW tools.
  • Build and maintain scalable Spark applications with hands-on expertise.
  • Develop and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
  • Propose and review architectures, and solve complex data models with precision.
  • Lead and mentor a team of experienced engineers, drive client communication, requirement gathering, and roadmap planning.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering with 4+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong coding expertise: Python, JVM, and Shell scripting with production-grade experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud-native, data-intensive applications with mandatory AWS expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and dbt.
  • Expertise in Airflow (workflow orchestration).
  • Deep understanding of file formats: Parquet, Delta Lake, OTFs.
  • Proficiency in unit testing & test automation frameworks.
