Engineering Leadership Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to drive the strategy and execution of a platform organization. The ideal candidate will oversee core infrastructure, developer experience, data platforms, and frontend frameworks that power large-scale SaaS products across global markets.

About the Role
  • The platform organization requires a strategic leader who can define and communicate a 12–18 month vision, aligning technical direction with business priorities.
  • The successful candidate will establish frameworks and shared component libraries to accelerate development in modern stacks (Vue, TypeScript, Node).
  • Data resilience and security are crucial; the candidate must architect and implement data-residency models satisfying global regulations across EU, US, and APAC regions.
Responsibilities
  • Platform Roadmap & Strategy: Define a long-term vision for the platform organization and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Frontend Enablement: Develop scalable frameworks and shared component libraries to streamline development.
  • Data Platform & Compliance: Implement unified approaches for ingestion, governance, observability, and schema validation across multiple data stores.
  • Infrastructure & Cloud Operations: Lead ownership of Kubernetes clusters, networking, IaC (Terraform, Helm), and cloud security.
  • Developer Experience & Reliability: Champion robust CI/CD pipelines, progressive rollout practices, fault-injection testing, and end-to-end observability standards.
  • Security & Compliance: Partner with InfoSec and Legal teams to integrate controls for SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and other regional frameworks.
  • Leadership & Culture: Grow and mentor engineers across platform, infrastructure, and data domains.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Communicate effectively with executive leadership, product partners, and engineering peers.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years leading platform, infrastructure, or SRE teams in high-scale SaaS environments.
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes and a major cloud provider (GCP preferred, but AWS/Azure also relevant).
  • Strong technical grounding in TypeScript/Node.js, container orchestration, IaC (Terraform/Helm), service meshes, and event-driven systems.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver multi-region or data-residency compliant architectures.
  • Track record of implementing CI/CD, observability, contract testing, and reliability practices.
  • Comfort working in regulated industries with SOC 2, HIPAA, or equivalent standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
