Migration Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Migration Engineer. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in designing and managing complex data migrations to ensure seamless transitions between platforms.

Your primary responsibility will be to use your technical skills in conjunction with AI coding assistants to create a streamlined and high-quality method of moving incoming clients from legacy platforms to modern systems. This includes migrating older generation data models to Snowflake-style data architecture at scale.

  • Data Migrations: Design, manage, and optimize complex data migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using dbt, AWS, and Redshift to efficiently manage and transform large datasets.
  • Data Transformation & Modelling: Build a deep understanding of recruitment CRMs (people, projects, companies) so the thought process becomes second nature.
  • Documentation: Establish clear, efficient processes for data handling and write documentation for end-to-end pipeline management.

You will own the end-to-end process, including the injection of new data into production environments and supporting customer success to deliver excellent client experiences during this migration.

Requirements:

  • Experience conducting customer migrations (+20)
  • Technical expertise in data migrations, ETL/ELT processes, and database management
  • Strong understanding of recruitment CRMs and data modeling
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
